Ethernet Tester

About this project
We collaborated with the client to design a professional-grade outer housing for an Ethernet testing device, focusing on durability, usability, and visual appeal suitable for field technicians and engineers.
What we did
Industrial design & aesthetics: Designed a sleek, ergonomic outer housing that gives the Ethernet tester a premium and professional look, aligning with the client’s brand identity.
Manufacturing-ready design: The housing was engineered following plastic injection molding guidelines, ensuring manufacturability, proper wall thickness, draft angles, and assembly fit.
Electronics integration: Worked closely with the client to optimize the internal layout for electronic components, improving accessibility, serviceability, and thermal management.
Overmolding optimization: Refined the design for plastic and silicone rubber overmolding, enhancing grip, durability, and shock resistance for field use.
Final deliverables: Delivered complete DFM (Design for Manufacturing) files, ready for injection mold fabrication and production.
This project highlights our expertise in industrial design, mechanical engineering, and manufacturing optimization, turning a technical tool into a refined, user-friendly, and production-ready product.
