Kitchen Knife Attachment

What we did

• Concept & functional design: Developed a compact, easy-to-use knife attachment that slides smoothly over the loaf, guiding each cut for perfectly even slices.

• Injection-molding-ready design: The attachment was carefully designed following plastic injection molding guidelines, ensuring it can be manufactured efficiently and withstand regular kitchen use.

• Prototyping & testing: Created a 3D printed proof of concept and a functional prototype, which successfully demonstrated the product’s accuracy, producing consistently even bread slices even in the prototype stage.

This project highlights our ability to turn a simple everyday problem into a practical, manufacturable, and user-friendly kitchen innovation, combining thoughtful design with engineering precision.
