Box with Water WO Water

About this project
We designed and developed a waterproof container for safely transporting medical objects, ensuring maximum protection and stability during handling. The client’s requirement was to create a box that kept sensitive items secure without allowing them to touch the enclosure walls, even when in motion.
What we did
Innovative waterproof design: Created a 3D printed waterproof enclosure that securely holds medical components while maintaining complete isolation from external moisture and contamination.
Latex membrane suspension system: Engineered a latex membrane mechanism that acts as a flexible suspension system, keeping the contents stable and cushioned inside without contacting the box walls.
Dual manufacturing approaches: Developed two design variants, one optimized for 3D printing and another suitable for sheet metal fabrication, providing flexibility for different production scales and materials.
Following the success of the prototype, we are now working on an optimized version for air transport, focusing on lightweight construction and enhanced pressure resistance. This project showcases our ability to combine mechanical innovation, precision engineering, and material design for sensitive medical use cases.
