What does tooling cost for small-series injection molding?
Tooling cost depends on part size, complexity, the number of cavities and the mold material. An aluminum bridge mold lowers the upfront cost and typically reaches first samples in 2 to 3 weeks, against 4 to 8 weeks for a steel production mold, and for 10 to 25 parts vacuum casting can come before any mold at all. We quote from CAD within 24 hours with tooling and part price itemized, and the mold is yours.
How do you keep quality consistent on small batches?
We work under a documented ISO 9001 process: every order is checked against your drawing before packing, and inspection reports are available on request. You approve the first sample on video, then in hand, and that approved sample becomes the reference for every batch that follows.
At what quantity does a small batch make sense with you?
There is no minimum, we work at zero MOQ. Batch sizes are set to what a small or first run actually needs, not only large repeat orders.
If our part needs a mold or tool, who owns it?
You do, outright and immediately, not after hitting a volume target. There is no amortization clause and no lien on the tooling, it is yours from day one, for life, and we never resell it, repurpose it, or run it for another client.
How is our design data and IP protected?
A non disclosure agreement and any written IP paperwork your project needs are signed before a file is shared. All manufacturing is done in-house, nothing is subcontracted to an outside vendor, so your files and tooling never leave our facility.
How does communication work if your team is based in India?
Our office in Ludwigsburg gives you a real point of contact in Germany, in addition to our engineering team in India.
What happens if there is a quality issue in a small batch?
Every batch is inspected and documented before it ships. If something is out of spec, the affected batch is corrected before shipping, not discovered by the customer.
