Mold Ownership: Your Tooling, With a Mold Passport
The injection mold or die casting tool we build for your product belongs to you from day one. Every tool gets a digital mold passport and a written right to move it to any factory, at any time.
What your mold passport records
- Photos of the mold and its first-shot samples
- Steel grade, cavity count, mold size and the press it runs on
- A shot counter, updated after every production run
- A maintenance and repair log, with dates and what was done
- Where the mold is stored, and its condition
- Your ownership document and written right to move the mold

From Mold Order to Lifetime Ownership
The same steps for injection molds and die casting dies.
Mold Design and DFM
Your engineer reviews the part for tooling: draft, wall thickness, undercuts, parting line and the right steel for your volume.
Tooling and T1 Trial
The mold is built and run for the first time. You receive photos of the tool and the first-shot parts.
Your Approval
You approve the first samples by video, then by the physical parts, before any production run.
Passport Issued
Your mold passport opens with its specification, photos and your ownership document.
Every Run Recorded
Shot counts, maintenance and storage location are updated after each run, so you always know the state of your tool.
Tooling Terms Buyers Ask For
A mold is often the most expensive item in a product launch. You should be able to see it, trust it and move it.
You own the mold outright from the moment it is built, not after a volume target.
If you ever move production, the mold goes with you, with the paperwork to prove it is yours.
Your mold is never resold, repurposed or run for another client.
Know how many parts your mold has made and plan maintenance before it is due.
Every repair and service is logged with a date and what was done.
You always know where your mold is stored and what condition it is in.
Questions About Mold Ownership
Who owns the mold once it is built?
You do, outright and from day one. The mold built for your product is yours for life, and we never resell it, repurpose it or run it for another client.
Can I move my mold to another factory?
Yes. Your mold passport includes a written right to move the mold anywhere, at any time. Your engineer arranges the handover and the shipping documents.
What is a mold passport?
A digital record of your tool: photos, steel grade, cavities, the press it runs on, a shot counter, the maintenance log, where it is stored and your ownership document.
Does this cover die casting dies too?
Yes. Injection molds and die casting dies built for you both get a passport and the same ownership terms.
Who maintains the mold?
We maintain it while it runs your parts at CADLETE, and every service is logged in your passport so you can see what was done and when.
What happens to the mold between orders?
It stays in storage at our production house, recorded in your passport with its location and condition, ready for your next run.

Products Made From Molds Our Clients Own

Hoofgrids: Recycled Plastic Ground Stabilization Grids for Horses and High-Traffic Ground
Mud in a paddock is unsafe for horses and hours of work for their owners. Our client wanted a ground stabilization grid made from 100% recycled plastic. We designed it from the first sketch, built the injection molds, produced more than 30,000 units and ship them to the USA in 40 ft containers, all the way to the client’s door.

Custom Pet Feeder Bowl for Large Breed Dogs
Bowls made for average dogs slide, tip and spill when a Bull Mastiff eats. Our client wanted one built for the big breeds. We designed a non-slip feeder bowl with an overmolded steel base, a custom anti-skid pad and a pad-printed logo, validated it with real dogs, and took it into injection-molded production.

Magnetic Trimmer Guards: Turnkey Design, Magnet Integration and Retail-Ready Production
A US brand wanted its own range of magnetic hair clipper guards, from size 0 upward. We designed the range from scratch, proved fit with 3D printed and SLM prototypes, solved how to integrate magnets into molded parts, built the molds, developed glitter finishes and designed the blister packs. The client orders and receives a retail-ready product.

Horse Head Handle: Sculptural Zinc Die-Cast Hardware, from 40+ Sketches to 4,000+ Units
A US maker of horse barn hardware wanted a handle nobody else had. We explored more than 40 sketches, sculpted a lifelike horse head with a spiral grip and a seahorse-inspired tail, engineered it for zinc die casting with in-house tooling, finished it in premium PVD colors and delivered more than 4,000 units DDP to the USA.

Telescopic Aluminum Ornament Hanger: From Functional Prototype to Die-Cast Production
Our client wanted one hanger that holds many ornaments and accessories and fits any wardrobe. We designed it with a telescopic arm, proved it as a working metal prototype made by sheet metal fabrication and VMC machining, then built the aluminum die casting molds, ran volume production and shipped it to the USA.

Grip-Free Fitness Cuff: From Concept to Injection-Molded Production
Handles and straps route the load through the hands, wrists and joints. Our client’s patent-pending cable attachment loads above the elbow or knee instead. We designed it from scratch, made it ready for plastic injection molding, built the molds, ran volume production and manage the supply chain. It now sells in 27+ countries.
