Magnetic Barber Mat
About this project
Barbers switch trimmer guards dozens of times a day, often mid-cut. We designed a barber station mat that keeps every guard within reach and organized, so the search never interrupts the work.
What we did
Integrated magnetic bar: A magnetic bar built into the mat holds trimmer guards securely in place, so a barber can pick up and swap guards without searching or fumbling.
Premium material choice: We specified high-quality wood for the mat, giving it a durable, professional look that fits a working barbershop station.
Prototype and MVP testing: We built an MVP and several functional prototypes to confirm magnetic hold strength and refine the everyday user experience before finalizing the design.
