Saffron is the most expensive spice in the world, and growing it requires tightly controlled conditions. Saffranova set out to make it possible to grow saffron in a fully automated system housed in a fridge.
CADLETE Designs developed the complete control system, integrating hardware and firmware to reliably run the entire growing process.
The system manages humidity, temperature and air circulation, and continuously senses the vital growing conditions while reporting quality data back to the system. This lets users grow saffron indoors without needing to manually manage the environment.
The result is a smart agriculture solution that brings precision climate control and monitoring into a compact, fridge-based grower.
