BR-Scan: Bringing Accessible Breast Screening to Doctors Across India

Early detection makes a major difference in breast cancer outcomes, but access to screening remains limited for many women. D3S Healthcare, an Ahmedabad-based health-tech company, set out to change that with BR-Scan, a non-invasive breast screening device supported by AI-based analysis and digital reports.

CADLETE Designs is D3S's official R&D partner and a stakeholder in the company, and we developed BR-Scan from scratch. Our work started with patent filing support, multiple concepts, market surveys and market study. We then delivered the full electronics development, including hardware and firmware, and a user-friendly mechanical housing designed for injection molding, before taking the device into mass production.

Medical devices need more than good engineering. We supported D3S through the certifications required for the market, including CDSCO and ISO 13485, and handled the related documentation. CADLETE also designed eye-catching packaging and built the end-to-end software for screening reports and AI-based breast cancer detection.

BR-Scan is now successfully used by many doctors across India.
