Germiban Remote Enclosure: Compact, Minimal and Ready to Mold

A remote control looks simple, but it has to fit its electronics precisely, assemble cleanly and be ready for mass production. CADLETE Designs designed the remote enclosure for Germiban, following injection molding guidelines from the first version.

To validate the design and check how the PCB fitted inside, we produced a prototype with high-quality SLA 3D printing. The prototype revealed an opportunity: the product could be optimized around a smaller PCB with a cleaner, more minimal look. We redesigned the enclosure accordingly and validated it with a second prototype.

Once the optimized design was confirmed, we prepared the Design for Manufacturing (DFM) for injection molding for all related parts, giving the client a production-ready enclosure, and then supported small-batch production.

This project shows the value of iterative product development: physical prototypes with real electronics lead to better, more compact designs before money is spent on tooling.
