Hobby Helper Enclosure V2
About this project
The Hobby Helper is a dual-function tool for miniature war gamers, artists, and modelers, combining a painting handle and a pin vice so users can securely hold, drill, and swap models or parts during detailed work.
What we did
Complete product design: We designed the full enclosure, internal mechanism, and ergonomic handle, balancing comfort with function for long creative sessions.
Prototype development: Following plastic injection molding guidelines from the outset, we built a series of high-quality 3D printed prototypes to validate design, usability, and mechanical performance.
Kickstarter launch support: The client used our functional MVP prototypes to successfully launch a Kickstarter campaign, earning strong community support among hobbyists.
Manufacturing and production: After the campaign succeeded, we engineered and built the plastic injection molds and produced over 500 units through injection molding, holding precision and consistency at scale.
