Magnetic Trimmer Guards: From Blank Page to Retail-Ready Product

A US-based brand wanted its own range of hair trimmer guards, including 0, 1, 2 and other sizes, and needed a partner who could handle everything from design to delivery. CADLETE Designs developed the full range from scratch and engineered every guard for injection molding.

We validated fit, function and compatibility with 3D printed and SLM functional prototypes, including snap-in parts that help the guards fit a wide range of trimmers. The biggest challenge was the client's requirement to integrate magnets through overmolding, which created complex tooling problems. We developed and validated a practical way to secure the magnets in the molded parts, and the solution was rolled out across the whole range with strong client feedback.

CADLETE then developed the molds and now manages production, including color and masterbatch development for special glitter finishes. We also created the logo, graphics and blister packaging, so every product ships retail-ready.

With quality coordination, logistics and international shipping by air or sea included, the client simply places an order and receives finished, packaged products.
