Data Mining Enclosures: Precision Snap-Fit Housings at Scale
Data mining hardware runs continuously, and its electronics need housings that fit precisely and assemble reliably at volume. A Russia-based client in the data mining industry approached CADLETE Designs to develop and manufacture multiple types of custom electronic enclosures for their equipment.
We handled the complete journey, from enclosure design and 3D CAD development through prototyping, injection mold development and mass production. Precision fitment was the key focus. We engineered accurate snap-fit connections so the parts assemble reliably, and designed the internal geometry to hold the PCBs and electronic components securely.
After validating the designs, we developed the injection molding tooling for each enclosure component and moved the products into mass production. CADLETE manufactured and supplied approximately 10,000 units per enclosure type, becoming the client's injection molding and manufacturing partner for these products.
The finished enclosures are now in use in the client's operational data mining equipment.
