3D Printed Designer Lamps: Unique Lighting Through Advanced Surface Design

Our Dubai-based client specializes in lighting accessories. Their products are first made with 3D printing and later moved to injection molding for larger-scale production. CADLETE Designs works with them as a long-term product design and functional prototyping partner, helping turn new lighting ideas into commercially viable products.

For this project, the client brought concepts for unique lighting products, including a spiral lamp and a rose-inspired light. The goal was to create forms with a strong visual identity that stand apart from conventional lighting, while using mostly off-the-shelf electronic components.

We typically start by developing 5 to 6 design concepts from the initial idea. Once the client chooses a direction, we develop it through industrial design and detailed product development into a final 3D printable design and functional prototype. These lamps rely on advanced surface modeling and complex, flowing geometry rather than simple CAD shapes.

The result is a range of distinctive lighting products ready for market testing through 3D printing, with a clear path toward future manufacturing.
