Electronic LARP Combat Game System

About this project
A Live Action Role-Playing (LARP) game needed its combat to feel more immersive without changing how players actually fight. We designed electronic armour and swords that react in real time during battle, not just props.
What we did
Health-tracking RGB LEDs: Color-changing LEDs built into the armour show each player’s live health status to both the player and spectators during combat.
Buzzer feedback system: A buzzer system delivers sound alerts for game events like taking damage, losing health, or a game-over state, making the experience more responsive.
Blending traditional LARP gameplay with real electronics, the system gives players a thrilling, engineered feedback loop that standard foam-and-costume combat cannot.
